Up for a challenge? Business Development Specialist Position – Strategy Consulting

#CapeTown: Frost & Sullivan’s African operation seeks to strengthen its business development team in South Africa to support its ongoing growth. The successful candidate will start on 2 June ​ 2025 at the latest.

👉 The Unique Opportunity:

Frost & Sullivan Africa’s business development cycle is highly consultative. It engages with senior executives on topics of strategy, growth, investment, and innovation.

This position requires strong commercial awareness and superior negotiation skills. The successful candidate will use a professional and consultative sales approach to sell Frost & Sullivan’s leading consulting services and market intelligence solutions in collaboration with our delivery teams to African clients and global clients with local representation.

The individual must possess the ability to create and maintain strong client relationships within the corporate and public sectors across the region (i.e., hunting and farming skills). Knowledge of selling into the African market and proven networking skills are essential to fulfilling the function's requirements.

 

👉 Key Criteria:

🔹 A degree in business or related discipline and professional business development training is essential.

🔹 At least 3 – 5 ​ years of business-to-business professional, consultative sales experience with a proven track record of success.

🔹 Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including enhanced influencing, presentation and leadership skills, teamwork, inter-personal and professional sales skills.

🔹 The confidence to present at an executive level within local and global blue-chip companies.

🔹 Tenacity and drive to uncover opportunities with both new and existing clients and drive these to closure with the support of our technical delivery teams.

👉 Remuneration:

🔹 Between R360,000 and R460,000 per annum base salary with an aggressive commission package over and above.
